A complete transformation of an East London loft apartment within a former Victorian sugar mill, commissioned by NYC-based clients ahead of their relocation to London. The industrial character of the space, including exposed brickwork and Crittall-style windows, provided a unique foundation but required a more considered and personalised approach. Drawing on Art Deco influences, natural materials and the clients’ Manhattan aesthetic, the design introduces rich textures, statement wallcoverings and layered details to create contrast against the building’s industrial heritage, resulting in a sophisticated London home with a distinct identity.
